02 / THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORKHyderabad, India

I’m Ram Surya.
Still curious.
Always building.

Developer. Cyber Security student.
Someone who brings people together.

Alongside my studies at IARE, I build software: a phone remote for Kiro, a canvas for contribution art, and a toolkit for technical writing. I also organize developer gatherings in Hyderabad, including GitHub Copilot Dev Days and Build with Gemma.

A THREAD THROUGH THE WORK

Three directions.
The same curiosity.

I’m interested in how software works, how it feels to use, and what happens when people build with it together.

NATIVE SOFTWARE & DEVELOPER TOOLS

Tools that fit the way we work.

Command-line workflows, macOS apps, and tools for working with AI are where I keep experimenting. From KiroPad’s cross-device connection to my Swift and SwiftUI projects, I’m interested in making the next step feel easier.

SECURITY & AI

Useful, with room for judgment.

Cyber Security is my specialization at IARE. It also shapes the questions behind my projects: what a tool can see, what it can do, and how a person can understand its decisions. My experiments include defensive software and AI-assisted workflows.

COMMUNITY & COMMUNICATION

Make room for the next person.

I organize developer gatherings in Hyderabad, including GitHub Copilot Dev Days and Build with Gemma. Bringing people into a room is another kind of building: a chance to ask questions, try things, and learn from one another.

THE PATH SO FAR

A background
in connecting things.

Before a tool makes sense, the idea behind it has to make sense.

Alongside my degree, I’ve worked in marketing and social media at e-DAM and Smartzy Edu. That interest in communication carries into my software and community work: making technical ideas easier to use and easier to share.

A FEW MOMENTS, KEPT

There’s a story
outside the screen.

The gatherings, conversations, and people that belong alongside the projects. A few of those moments live in my event sketchbook.
